Phantom Sun was born out of the desire to streamline the post production process and seamlessly connect our clients to the best craft talent in the industry. We keep our rates down by minimising our footprint where possible. So if we can pop up our kit or work remotely, then it makes our clients and us very happy. Having said that, we do have a base in Manchester that acts as our nerve centre. We have facilities for offline and online editing, Davinci Resolve colour grading, Protools audio dubbing, AQC, (PSE QC) and Eyeball QC as well as file delivery tools for every outlet including DPP, (PSE QC) and the ever useful CineXtools.
But at the heart of everything we do is talent. Eben Clancy, our founding director, has been editing since 1990 and even managed 18 years at the BBC – finishing up as a lead editor in a number of their London post production departments. As you can imagine, he’s brought with him a considerable number of contacts which we’ve added to over the years.
